“Push Pull” the two-headed horse can be seen on Parsons Ave. The mural was created by Andrew Lundberg and David Denniston. The interesting story behind it, can be found on the Olde Towne Arts Website.

The Olde Towne Arts Association has paid tribute to Olde Towne East’s native son George Bellows by creating a mural reproduction of his famous painting Riverfront No. 1. The original painting is housed in the Columbus Museum of Art. The mural is located on the side of The Tavern. The Kwanzaa Playground at English Park is undergoing restoration by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. As part of this effort, African Portal (shown above) will be decommissioned due to damage beyond repair. A replacement Portal is planned that will be designed by the original artist, Queen Brooks, and constructed with steel for improved longevity.
