Officer Terry Kalous has served as our neighborhood Community Liaison Officer of the 12Th precinct for10 years in July 2009. Officer Kalous has been and continues to be an asset in our community with her knowledge, passion, and driving force to help the residents of Olde Towne East. Community support is one of the many tools Officer Kalous and our street Officers reply upon in order to do their jobs and serve our community. ”Crime happens in front of the residents, not in front of us as Officers”, said Kalous. This is why it’s so important to keep the lines of communication open. Communication of not only the negative issues facing us; positive accomplishments for our officers are not only welcomed, but needed. The communication between area Block Watch groups and OTENA residents is among the best in the city of Columbus. It is the lifeline between officers and residents, that, once again supports the fact that Community Policing works. The next time you see Officer Kalous or any of our officers please let them know the value they are to Olde Towne East, and how much we truly appreciate the excellent job they do daily in our neighborhood. The Olde Towne East Neighborhood Association would like to say thank you to Officer Kalous and the 12Th Precinct Officers; and to the Fair Avenue, South of Main, and Ohio/Parsons Block Watch’s, for your hard work and dedication to our neighborhoods! You all are the best!
